This support document and video below provide a step-by-step guide on how to create and configure a Connect Widget using Text In Church. The Connect Widget is a powerful tool that allows you to install a launcher on your website, enabling visitors to interact with Connect Cards and other resources.

Step 1: Access Text In Church and Navigate to Connect Cards

  1. Sign into your Text In Church account.

  2. Choose "Cards" from the menu.

Step 2: Create a New Connect Widget

  1. Click on "Add New" in the top right corner.

  2. Select "Connect Widget" from the options.

Step 3: Design the Connect Widget

  1. Design the widget's appearance:

    • Customize the color and font color.

    • Add a logo or video.

    • Provide a headline and description text.

  2. Assign a name to your Connect widget.

  3. Click "Next" to proceed.

Step 4: Configuring Connect Cards and Resources

  1. Configure what Connect Cards and resources will display on the Connect Widget

    • A Connect widget can showcase multiple Connect cards.

    • Add Connect cards for various purposes, such as plan a visit, prayer requests, or volunteer sign-ups.

  2. Include additional resources, like donation links, by clicking the "Add" button. Paste the appropriate link for each resource.

  3. Click "Next" to continue.

Step 5: Configuring Widget Display Settings

  1. Configure the widget's display on your website:

    • Enable the chat bubble to appear in the bottom right or bottom left corner.

    • Activate the sticky button, which can display social proof or custom text.

    • Pin a sticky banner to the top or bottom of your website, with customizable text.

    • Set up a timed pop-up with custom text or a video that triggers after a specific time.

    • Use the date timer to show a countdown to an upcoming event.

    • Utilize the weekly timer to count down to the next service.

    • Set up a button click trigger by copying and pasting the provided script (#ticpopup) into a button on your website.

    • Obtain the direct link to the Connect Widget for use in social media or other platforms.

  2. Save your settings.

By following these steps, you can create and configure a Connect Widget using Text In Church. This widget serves as a launcher on your website, allowing visitors to interact with Connect cards and access various resources. Customize the design, choose the Connect cards and resources to display, and configure the widget's appearance and behavior.
