Welcome to Text In Church!
We know transitioning from one platform to another is a big change, and we'd love to help share a few ways our platforms differ and are alike to help make the transition effortless.

People Section
When viewing People in Text In Church, some important differences to note are:
Opt-in/Opt-out Status
At the very top (marked 2), you’ll quickly see who has chosen to receive communications and who has opted out.Edit or Remove People
Need to make updates or clean up your list? Use the tools marked 3 to edit details or delete people as needed.Add New People
Bringing in someone new? You can add them individually—or, if you’re working with a larger group, import a list—all from the section marked 4.Filter Your View
Finally, use the filters (marked 5) to organize your list. You can sort people based on missing information, or narrow your view to just those who belong to a specific group.
Duplicate Contacts:
Because Text In Church is designed to prevent duplicate profiles, there is not currently an area in the account where you can review potential duplicates.
It's important that duplicate contacts are prevented to prevent duplicate messages from being sent from your account, which can greatly harm your phone number's reputation with carriers.
Instead of allowing duplicates, the system will prevent duplicate contacts from an integration, and it will prevent duplicate contacts from being created manually.
You can also learn more about how Text In Church handles duplicate contacts during the PastorsLine upgrade.
