Q: What do the blue flag icons by my Inbox messages mean?
The blue flag is used to indicate unactioned messages.
They do not clear upon reading, since you could have multiple account Admins and may read but not have time to respond.
Q: How do I clear notifications of new messages from the Inbox?
To clear your inbox notifications, you will need to action your messages by either marking them as read, replying, or archiving them.
Q: If I send a message to multiple Groups and someone is a member of all of these Groups, will they get duplicate messages?
Text In Church makes it simple to communicate effectively with groups, ensuring clarity, personalization, and efficiency.
When sending a message to multiple Groups, the platform automatically prevents duplicate messages from being sent to individuals who belong to more than one Group.
For example, if you create a message for four Groups, and an individual is a member of all four, they will only receive a single copy of the message.
Q: How can I send a message to some members of a Group and not all of them?
If you'd like to message a selection of individuals within a specific Group, follow these simple steps:
Navigate to the People section and use the search bar to locate your Group's members by typing
Group: [GROUP_NAME](don't forget the colon).Select your desired group from the search results to populate its members.
In the displayed member list, toggle and select the individuals you intend to message.
Click Action → Create Message to draft and send a text to these selected individuals.
Q: How Can I Send the Same Message to Multiple Groups?
To send a single message to multiple Groups:
1. Select all groups you want to include in your message when creating a new message
2. Compose your message.
Rest assured that the platform will deduplicate your list, so no one gets a duplicate message if they belong to more than one Group.
Q: A contact in multiple Groups received two copies of the message. Why?
This can happen if there are contacts with duplicate data in the Group(s).
Be sure to check for multiple contacts using the same information if a contact reports that they received a message multiple times.
Q: We have received some spam texts. Is there a way to block the number?
Within your Text In Church account, you can go to People, search for the phone number sending the spam texts, click the three dots to the right of the contact, and click Block.
Q: Can I send emojis in text messages?
