A Caller is a person who can make and receive calls from Talk In Church. Callers must first be set as Users or Admins on your Text In Church account.

In some instances, you may want to add a Caller but do not want to grant permission to see your text message inbox.

Step 1: Create a User

  1. Sign in to Talk In Church.

  2. Navigate to Account Settings and select Users.

  3. Select the blue + to add a User.

  4. Fill out the first four fields for the new User: First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Mobile Number.

  5. Click the three dots to the right of your Caller and click Manage Permissions.

  6. Assign them to the number they need to make phone calls from, but give them No Access to Messaging.

Success, now your new User is created, but they do not have any access to your text message inbox!

Next, add them as a Caller.

Step 2: Add a Caller

  1. Navigate to your Talk In Church Summary page.

  2. In the Callers box, click Manage and press the orange Add New button; if you have no Callers set up, click the blue Add a Caller button.

  3. Select your User from the drop-down menu.

  4. Add an extension number (this is a three- or four-digit number that incoming calls can use to interrupt the Digital Receptionist and be directed to the Caller immediately).

  5. Set the Caller's availability under the heading Set days and time.

  6. Adjust voicemail settings.

  7. Click Save.

Success, your new User without message inbox access is now set up as a Caller!

This Caller has no access to your Text Messaging features.
