What Information Is Included in a Text In Church Staff Notification?

The type of Staff Notification you set up determines what information it contains. Both types always include three standard contact fields: First and Last Name, Phone Number, and Email Address.

Staff Notification Texts include a limited set of fields:

  • First and Last Name

  • Phone Number

  • Email Address

  • Address (only if this question is included in your Connect Card)

Note: Staff Notification texts count toward your account's message allotment.

Staff Notification Emails include every question in your Connect Card, plus additional details like the contact creation date and the submission date.

If a question has no answer in your email notification, the contact likely did not submit an answer for that question. To make sure a question must be answered, mark it as required in your Connect Card:

  1. Log in to Text In Church on a browser.

  2. Go to the Connect tab.

  3. Click Cards.

  4. Click the three dots on your Card and choose Edit.

  5. Click Next on Step 1 of your Card.

  6. On Step 2, click the three dots to the right of the question you want to require.

  7. Check the Mark as Required checkbox, then click Next.

  8. Click Save.

  9. Click Next to go to Step 3.

  10. Click Save to save your changes.
