What are Tags?
Tags are handy identifiers you can set on your contacts, Groups, Connect Cards, Widgets, and Workflows so you can search for them!
How to Create or Apply Tags?
You can create a Tag by clicking the "+ Add" button beside any of your contacts, Groups, Connect Cards, Widgets, or Workflows:
A pop-up menu will appear where you can type in the field you'd like to add or create:
To create a Tag on the fly, choose the "Create '__' Tag" option, and choose Confirm:
To tag something with an existing Tag, type in that Tag and choose it from the available options. Then hit Confirm.
How to Remove Tags:
To remove a Tag, navigate to the tagged contact or feature that needs to have the Tag removed.
Then click the pencil icon by that contact or feature:
Click the 'X' by the Tag you'd like to remove and choose Confirm:
How To Manage and Monitor Tags?
You can monitor how many contacts and features are tagged with a specific Tag by going to the Tags section of your Settings:
You can change the sorting of your Tags on this page by clicking on the columns, and you can search this page using the search bar on the right-hand side.
Each Tag will have a column for the number of Groups, People, Automated Workflows, Connect Cards, and Connect Widgets that have the Tag applied.
You'll also have Actions for each Tag, access them by clicking on the three-dot icon on the far right-hand side of the page:
These options include:
Editing your Tag's name
Replacing the existing Tag with another Tag
Delete the Tag
Note: Deleting the Tag will remove it from any contacts or features it is applied to.
How Can I Use Tags?
After tagging a feature like a Connect Card, Group, Widget, or Workflow, you can search for them using the Tag!
For Groups, Workflows, Connect Cards, and Widgets, you can type the Tag into the search bar, and any tagged items will appear in the results:
When searching for tagged contacts, you'll need to include Tag: in the search bar before your Tag, like this!
For example, if you have contacts tagged with the Tag Guest, type Tag: Guest into the search bar for those contacts to appear in the results.
We have some upgrades to Tags already in the works, so they'll be more powerful with our future updates! Stay tuned for more handy ways to use Tags!
