Sync your existing groups seamlessly with Text In Church. Integrate and sync an existing TIC Group

When integrating Text In Church with Planning Center, Church Community Builder, RockRMS, or MailChimp, users can set the Sync Destination to create a new group in Text In Church or connect the integration to an existing Text In Church group.

This process seamlessly transforms the existing Text In Church group with its Keyword, Connect Cards and Automated Workflows into a syncing group!

When setting the Sync Destination to an existing TIC Group, it's important to note that it is a One-to-One Relationship:

  • A single list or group from the integration can be connected to a single Text In Church group. This means that:

    • Multiple groups from the integration cannot be connected to one single Text In Church group (many groups syncing into one TIC group).

    • A single list or group from the integration cannot be connected to multiple Text In Church groups (one group syncing into many TIC groups).

How to Sync an Integration to an Existing TIC Group

  1. Sign in to the Website version of Text In Church:

    1. Integrations cannot be managed from the mobile app

    2. Open your web browser and go to the Text In Church website. Sign in with your credentials.

  2. Navigate to Account Settings and Select Integrations:

    1. Click on your profile icon at the top right corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select "Account Settings". In the left sidebar, choose "Integrations".

  3. Manage the Integration:

    1. Locate and click on the integration you want to manage.

  4. View Available Groups or Lists:

    1. In the integration settings, you'll see a listing of available groups or lists that can be synced with Text In Church.

  5. Select the List to Sync:

    1. Click the checkbox beside the name of the list you want to sync.

  6. Set Sync Frequency:

    1. Choose how often you want the sync to occur (e.g., Daily, Weekly, Monthly).

  7. Set Sync Destination:

    1. From the dropdown menu, select the destination for the sync.

    2. You can choose from the list of existing, non-syncing Text In Church groups to connect to.

    3. Alternatively, you can select "Create New Group" to generate a new syncing Text In Church group, which will be automatically connected.

Congratulations! You've successfully integrated an existing group with Text In Church.
