With Talk In Church, you have two ways to make calls:
Calling Through the Mobile App:
Making calls from the mobile app is a breeze:
Open the Text In Church mobile app.
Tap the Talk tab at the bottom and tap the 10-dot icon that appears on that page.
Dial the number you want to call.
Choose the number you'd like to call.
Tap the blue phone button.
Confirm the call.
Calls are routed to your cell phone via your Text In Church number, using your cellular calling network to complete the call.
Rest assured, your number remains hidden from the person you're calling.
When making calls from the mobile app, be sure to double-check that the app has permission to use your microphone!
2. Web-Based Calling
Log in to your Text In Church account.
In the top right corner of your Text In Church account, click the dialer button.
Select the phone number you would like to place your call from.
Dial the phone number you would like to call.
Click the green call button to place your call.
When you're making calls from the browser, be sure to give your browser permission to access your microphone!
If you do not see the dialer icon, be sure that you're listed as a Caller in the account:
And that you're set up for calls to route through your browser under Settings -> Call Routing:
Making a Call:
Choose a contact and start the call. Here are your options:
If there's no response or the call is declined, you can choose to retry or return to the dialer.
During an ongoing call, you can transfer the call, access the dial pad for interactions with IVR systems, check call duration, and end the call when you're ready.
In-Call Features:
Transfer Call: Transfer the call to another contact by clicking "Transfer" and choosing a name or number
Show Dial Pad: Use this option to interact with Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system menus, commonly used by companies.
Call Duration: Keep track of the call duration.
Hang Up: When you're ready to end the call, simply click "Hang up."
Mute Call: Mute yourself so the caller on the other end cannot hear you.
Add: Add another Caller on the account to your existing call.
Incoming Call Notifications:
When signed into the website version of your account and an incoming call comes to your Caller profile, you'll receive a notification within your account.
This allows you to answer or decline the call directly from the web interface, saving you the hassle of handling it on your cell phone.
Checking for Missed Calls:
To check for missed calls, follow these steps:
Open the Summary section of your Calling tab.
Locate the Call History section in the top right-hand corner and select "View All."
Inside the Call History section, click on the "Missed" tab to display all missed calls.
Incoming Voicemail Notifications: Ensure that the Text In Church mobile app is installed on your device to receive voicemail push notifications.
Enable Notifications: Activate push notifications within the app and ensure that your device settings allow for these notifications.
Receive Voicemails: Whenever your church receives a new voicemail, either you as an Admin or your Team will be notified.
