A: Talk In Church operates as a virtual phone system, directing calls to your cell phone while shielding your personal number from the recipient. Additionally, it offers desk phone integration options for users who wish to use landline equipment for making or receiving calls.

Q: Can I Retain My Current Phone Number?

A: Absolutely! We're here to assist you in transferring your number from your current provider to Talk In Church. Please note that this process typically takes up to two weeks to complete. During this time, it's essential to maintain your service with your current provider. While the transition is underway, we can provide you with a temporary phone number. This allows you to set up your Digital Receptionists, configure Callers and Teams, and later seamlessly assign these settings to your number once the porting process is finalized. To initiate the number transfer, navigate to the Calling tab and select 'Add New' under your phone numbers. Complete the provided form, after which you’ll receive detailed documentation required to complete the porting process.

Q: Where Is Talk In Church Available?

A: Currently, Talk In Church is accessible for use in the United States and Canada.

Q: How Many Digital Receptionists Can I Create?

A: You have the freedom to create an unlimited number of Digital Receptionists with Talk In Church. However, it's important to keep in mind that only one Digital Receptionist can be active on a phone number at any given time. To configure your Digital Receptionist, navigate to the app settings, and customize the call routing options to ensure efficient handling of incoming calls.


Q: How do I make a call?

A: First, ensure that you are added as a Caller in the Talk In Church system. Then, open the Talk In Church app on your phone. Navigate to the Talk section and locate the blue Talk button. Click the orange phone pad button, enter the phone number you'd like to call, confirm the correct phone number under the blue dropdown menu, and press the green call button to start the call.

Q: How do I call 911?

A: In the case of an emergency, please do not use the Talk In Church app, and instead dial directly from your personal device to ensure your emergency is reached ASAP.

Q: How do I get the call to go to a person first before the Digital Receptionist?

A: While in the Talk In Church menu, click Manage for the Phone Numbers section. Click the three dots next to the Phone number of your choice, then click edit. Select the Human Receptionist option, select who the Human Receptionist is, and indicate the times they are available to receive phone calls. Then click save to finish setting up your Human Receptionist.
