How to Create a Connect Card with AI in Text In Church
Log in to your Text In Church account.
Go to Connect Cards in the left navigation.
Click the Add New button in the top-right corner of the Connect Cards page.
On the New Connect Card screen, choose Create with AI.
Click one of the Quickstart buttons (Church Gathering, Sunday Ceremony, First Time Member) or type your own description in the How can we help? box.
Review the questions in the Questions Preview panel on the right. If you want to change anything, keep chatting with the AI to tell it what to adjust.
When you are happy with the preview, click Confirm.
You will land in the standard Connect Card editor, where you can customize the design, headline, colors, and questions before your card is ready to share.
Tip: Take a moment to review the preview before you click Confirm. A quick review makes sure the questions match what you want to collect.
Quickstart Options
If you are not sure what to type, use one of the Quickstart buttons at the top of the AI Connect Card Builder. Each one drafts a Connect Card for a common church use case.
Church Gathering: Best for general church events and gatherings. Collects visitor and member information along with a few questions specific to the gathering.
Sunday Ceremony: Best for Sunday services when you want to capture attendance and follow-up information.
First Time Member: Focused on capturing details from first-time attendees so you can follow up with them personally.
You can edit the questions after using a Quickstart, so treat these as starting points.
Editing Your AI-Generated Connect Card
After you click Confirm, you land in the standard Connect Card editor. From here you can:
Adjust the design (colors, logo, video)
Edit the headline and sub-heading
Add, remove, or edit any of the AI-generated questions
Customize the rest of the card flow
You will also see a Create with AI button (purple) in the top-right of the editor. Click it any time to reopen the AI Connect Card Builder and iterate on your card with AI again.
What is the AI Connect Card Builder?
The AI Connect Card Builder is a feature in Text In Church that uses AI to draft a Connect Card based on a description you provide. Instead of starting from a blank card or choosing from a template, you tell the AI what you need and it generates the questions in seconds.
How do I open the AI Connect Card Builder in Text In Church?
Go to Connect Cards in Text In Church, click Add New in the top-right, and choose Create with AI on the New Connect Card screen.
Can the AI Connect Card Builder create multi-step cards?
Yes. The AI Connect Card Builder can create both single-step and multi-step Connect Cards depending on what you describe. For a multi-step flow, mention it in your prompt (for example, "a multi-step first-time guest card that asks about their visit").
Can I edit the questions after AI creates them?
Yes. After you click Confirm, you will be taken to the standard Connect Card editor where you can add, remove, or edit any question. You can also click the purple Create with AI button in the editor to reopen the AI Connect Card Builder and iterate again.
Do I need to know how to write a prompt to use the AI Connect Card Builder?
No. If you are not sure what to type, click one of the Quickstart buttons (Church Gathering, Sunday Ceremony, or First Time Member) to draft a common Connect Card. You can customize the questions from there.
What does the purple Create with AI button in the card editor do?
It reopens the AI Connect Card Builder so you can iterate on the same card. Chat with the AI to adjust questions, then confirm to bring the changes back into your card.
What if the AI generates questions I do not want?
You have two options. Keep chatting with the AI in the same window to refine the questions, or click Confirm and edit the questions manually in the Connect Card editor after the card is created.
