Say goodbye to your expensive, outdated desktop or VOIP phone system without bidding farewell to your cherished phone number!
With Talk In Church, you can seamlessly transition your existing number to our platform through a hassle-free porting process.
❗ Note: There are two different processes Hosting and Porting:
Porting: your landline number is transferred to us. You'll be able to send and receive texts and do all calling through this number using Text and Talk In Church. You would then be able to cancel your landline provider.
Hosting: your number stays with your landline provider, you'll be able to send and receive texts through this number using Text In Church. All calling functionality stays with your current landline provider.
Please see the help center article for more information on Hosting: How to Host Phone Numbers
Here are some key points to keep in mind when considering porting your number(s):
Porting Timeframe: Porting your number to Text In Church typically takes between 2 to 4 weeks. While it's usually a swift process, we want you to be prepared in case of any unforeseen delays.
Keep Current Services: To ensure a smooth porting experience, it's essential to maintain all services with your current carrier until the porting process is complete. This helps avoid any potential delays or rejections.
Cell Phone Numbers: Yes, even cell phone numbers can be ported to Talk In Church! However, for this, you'll need to reach out to your current carrier to request the Account Number and PIN.
Versatile Use: Once your number is successfully ported to Talk In Church, you'll have the flexibility to use it for both calling and texting within our platform.
