Sending a Voice Broadcast with Text In Church

Voice broadcasts help you reach your people in a personal and powerful way!

What is a voice broadcast?

A voice broadcast is a recorded message sent straight to your community's phones, like a personal message they receive from you to them.

Perfect for prayer updates, last-minute event changes, reminders, or just letting someone hear your heart. It’s personal, powerful, and a whole lot more meaningful than a mass email.

Whether you’re sending a midweek encouragement, a heartfelt thank you, or a weather cancellation, here’s how to do it step by step.

Log In & Access Voice Broadcasts

  • Start by logging into your Text In Church account.

  • Head over to the Messages tab.

  • Click Create New Message and select Voice Broadcast.

Choose Who You’re Reaching

  • You can select a whole Group (like your volunteers or small group leaders) or hand-pick individuals.

  • Once selected, hit Next to move forward.

Share Your Voice

You’ve got three options, so you can choose what works best for you:

Option 1: Record Your Voice

  • Hit the blue microphone icon to record.

Option 2: Upload a Recording

  • Already have something recorded? Upload your MP3 or WAV file.

Option 3: Use Text-to-Speech

  • Let our system turn your typed message into spoken word—great if you’re short on time but still want that “voice” feel.

Note: Voice Broadcasts over 1 minute will result in one additional message credit being used for every additional minute.

Understand Message Credits

Every minute counts. Here's a breakdown on how Voice broadcasts work for your Message Allotment.

  • 1-minute message to 100 people = 100 messages

  • 2-minute message to 100 people = 200 messages

To keep things simple, aim for under a minute.

Send or Schedule

  • Choose the local number you want to send from.

  • Either hit Send Now or set a specific time for it to go out.

  • Once sent, the message will appear as a phone call on the receiving phone, where they can either answer it to listen or receive it later as a voicemail!

A Few Friendly Reminders

  • Keep your message clear, warm, and under 60 seconds.

  • Make sure any uploaded files are in the correct format (MP3/WAV).

  • A personal voice message—especially from you as a leader—can carry more care than any fancy flyer or social post ever could.

Pro Tip from Our Team

Draft your message like you're talking to a friend from church. Speak with warmth and purpose—and don’t stress about being perfect. Your community just wants to hear from you.

Text In Church was built for moments like this—to help your church family feel known, noticed, and loved. You’ve got the message. Let’s make sure it’s heard.
