Caller ID Overview

Optimize church communications with personalized Caller ID! Learn how to set and update settings for clear caller identification.

Written by Corey Piazza

Caller ID lets your church control what name recipients see when they receive a call from your Text In Church or Calling by Text In Church number.

When someone receives a call from your number and has not saved it in their contacts, they will see the Caller ID name you set rather than just a number. This ensures your church name shows up clearly on incoming calls to your congregation, making it easy for members to recognize who is calling.

What Is Caller ID in Text In Church?

Caller ID allows users with Calling by Text In Church to personalize the name that appears when they place outgoing calls. When someone without your number saved in their contacts receives a call, they will see your Caller ID name instead of an unknown number. This helps ensure your church is recognized immediately and increases the chance that calls are answered.

If you forward calls to a personal phone, the outgoing calls from your Text In Church number will still display your configured Caller ID name to the recipient, not your personal phone information.

How to Set Up Caller ID in Text In Church

To configure your Caller ID name:

  1. Log in to your Text In Church account.

  2. Go to Settings > Branding.

  3. Enter your desired Caller ID name in the Caller ID field.

  4. Save your changes.

You can update your Caller ID at any time by returning to Settings > Branding.
