Message Variables are dynamic placeholders you can add to your messages to automatically personalize them for each recipient. Common variables include first name, last name, and custom links. When a message is sent, Text In Church replaces each variable with the corresponding information from that person's record, letting you send personalized messages to your entire group without writing each one individually.

How to Use Message Variables in Your Messages
Create or open a message.
In the message body, type the variable in curly braces (for example, {WEBSITE} or {FACEBOOK}), or select it from the Variables drop-down in the message builder.
A purple bubble will appear around the variable name, confirming it was entered correctly.
Continue composing and send as normal.
In your Sent folder or Message builder, the variable appears as a purple bubble. When the message is delivered, it is replaced with the actual value. For example, {WEBSITE} becomes your website URL in the recipient's message.
Can I Add a Link as a Message Variable?
Yes. Message Variables support links, making them useful for your website, Facebook page, donation page, or any other URL. When creating the variable, select Link as the type and paste your URL as the value. Give the variable a memorable name like FACEBOOK, then type {FACEBOOK} in any message. The actual link will be sent in place of the variable when the message is delivered.
