This glossary explains every Connect Cards term in Text In Church, from the Connect Card itself to Widgets, QR Codes, Links, Submission Views, and the new Action After Submission automation on multiple choice questions.

What Is a Connect Card in Text In Church?
A Connect Card is a dynamic form used to collect contact information. Information submitted on a Connect Card is automatically recorded on the individual's People Record. This includes First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, and Email. You can map additional information to your custom fields by using the Smart Save option and selecting a custom field to save the answer.
What Is a Custom Confirmation Page?
A Custom Confirmation Page is a custom video or webpage that can be displayed automatically when a person submits a completed Connect Card. Use it to thank guests, give them next steps, or share your church's welcome message.
What Is a Connect Widget?
A Connect Widget is a dynamic tool used to connect your website to your Connect Card, so your community can quickly reach out to your church. You can also set up a custom landing page using the landing page widget, which allows you to view your Connect Card on full screen.
Sticky Banner Widget
The Sticky Banner is a widget you install on your website. It displays a banner across the top of the page. When website visitors click the banner, the Connect Card automatically displays and can be filled out.
Sticky Button Widget
The Sticky Button is a widget you install on your website. It displays a button on either the bottom left or right of the page. When website visitors click the button, the Connect Card automatically displays and can be filled out. You can also select the social proof checkbox to show the number of people who have recently clicked it.
Chat Bubble Widget
The Chat Bubble is a widget you install on your website. It displays as a floating bubble in the right-hand corner of the page. When website visitors click the bubble, the Connect Card automatically displays and can be filled out.
Button Click Widget
The Button Click is a widget you install on your website. It displays as an individual button on the page. When website visitors click the button, the Connect Card automatically displays and can be filled out.
Timed Pop-up Widget
The Timed Pop-up is a widget you install on your website. It automatically displays a pop-up after a set amount of time. The Timed Pop-up can also show a countdown to a specific date or a weekly timer for events like services. You can add a video URL that plays when the pop-up appears. When website visitors click the pop-up, the Connect Card automatically displays and can be filled out.
Connect Card Links
Connect Card Links are direct web addresses to a specific Connect Card or to the Connect Card for an individual Group. Links can be copied and shared outside of Text In Church so people can complete the form from anywhere. Learn how to access your links here.
QR Codes for Connect Cards
A QR Code is a barcode that can be scanned by a person's cell phone camera to automatically open a Connect Card. Learn how to access your QR Codes here.
Action After Submission on Multiple Choice Questions
Action After Submission is a Text In Church automation on Connect Card multiple choice questions. When a guest or member picks an option, Text In Church can automatically update their contact record for you. This removes the manual work of reviewing every response and tagging or grouping contacts one at a time.
You can turn Action After Submission on for any option in a multiple choice question. For each option, choose one of four actions:
Add to Group: Add the contact to a specific Group when they select this option.
Remove from Group: Remove the contact from a Group when they select this option.
Add Tag: Apply a specific tag to the contact when they select this option.
Remove Tag: Remove a tag from the contact when they select this option.
Example: On a first-time guest Connect Card, add a Multiple Choice question that asks "Do you have kids?" with the options "Yes" and "No". Turn on Action After Submission for the "Yes" option and choose Add to Group with your Kids Ministry group selected. When a guest selects Yes, Text In Church adds them to your Kids Ministry group automatically. No manual follow-up needed.
Connect Card Submission View
You can view the information contacts submit when they fill out a Connect Card. Go to the People section, open the contact's Record, click the Connect Cards button, then click View to read their Connect Card submissions.
You can also click the View All Responses For This Card button to view the full report for that Connect Card.
