Troubleshooting the Elvanto Integration

How to resolve sync failures and common errors with the Elvanto Integration

If you find that the number of people in your Elvanto group does not match the number in your Text In Church Group, you can review the "Sync Logs" tab inside of your Text In Church Group to find out why specific contacts were not synced.

🛠 Common Reasons a Contact Would Not Be Synced

1. No Contact Information

  • For a person to sync from Elvanto into Text In Church, they must have basic contact information such as name, email, and/or mobile phone number.

  • The system only uses SMS-enabled phone numbers and pulls from the Mobile phone field.

Resolution:

Add a valid mobile phone number or email address to the contact’s primary information in Elvanto and run another sync.


2. Duplicate Contact

  • If more than one person in the Elvanto group has the same email or phone number, only the first person will be synced into the Text In Church Group. Others will be flagged as duplicates.

Example:
If a husband and wife share the same email or phone number in Elvanto, only one of them will sync into Text In Church.

Resolution:

After adjusting the contact information to be unique, head to the Sync Logs tab for that Group, find the flagged contact, and click the retry arrow to the right of it.

Other options include:

  • Manually add the other contact to Text In Church using their unique contact information

  • .CSV import them with their unique contact information

  • Or ask them to text a Keyword!
