Transferring Calls with Calling™ by Text In Church

Learn how to seamlessly transfer calls in Calling™ by Text In Church's browser-based platform.

Calling by Text In Church lets you transfer an active call to another person on your team without dropping the caller. This is the answer to the common question of how to pass a call to someone else in the office while you are already on the phone. Transfers work from the browser, the mobile app, and desk phones.

How to Transfer a Call on the Browser

  1. Log in to Text In Church on a browser and initiate or answer a call using the Dialer.

  2. During the call, click Transfer.

  1. A window will appear — select the contact you want to transfer the call to.

  2. Confirm the transfer. The call is handed off immediately.

How to Transfer a Call on the Mobile App

  1. Log in to the Text In Church mobile app and initiate or answer a call.

  2. During the call, tap Transfer.

  1. A window will appear — select the contact you want to transfer the call to.

How to Transfer a Call on a Desktop Phone

Before you can transfer calls on a desk phone, it must be connected to your account using the credentials from the Desktop Phones section in your account Settings.

For setup instructions, see the Setting up Desk Phones guide.

Once the desk phone is set up, use the built-in Transfer button on the device to transfer calls received on that phone.
