Creating a Landing Page with Connect Widgets

Create a landing page to use as a "link in bio" on social media. Create a welcome center or next steps landing page for a tablet or iPad.

Overview

Connect Widgets in Text In Church aren't just for websites — you can also use them to build a custom landing page that acts as a "link in bio" for social media, a welcome center hub on a tablet, or a centralized Next Steps page.

This tutorial walks through the full setup.

Jump To

Step 1: Access Connect Widgets

In Text In Church, go to Connect in the left sidebar, then click Widgets.

Step 2: Create a New Widget

Click Add New in the top right corner of the Widgets page. Decide on the purpose of your landing page — for example, a place for people to sign up for various programs, find church info, or take their next steps.

Step 3: Set Up the Landing Page

Give the page a clear name (e.g., Next Steps) and a compelling headline that describes what visitors will find (e.g., Next Steps: Get Connected).

Step 4: Add Cards

Click + Add a Connect Card and select the cards you want to include — sign-up forms, program registrations, or any other Connect Cards from your account. You can also add simple link cards that direct users to external pages like your giving platform.

Step 5: Customize

Click Landing page, then Edit this card for each item to add a descriptive label and an image that makes each option visually distinct and easy to understand at a glance.

Step 6: Save and Share

Click Save to publish the landing page. Copy the provided link and share it wherever your audience needs it — social media bio, bulletin, welcome slides, or a tablet at your welcome center.

Tips for Better Results

  • Set up a custom subdomain for your landing page (e.g., nextsteps.citychurch.com) to make the URL easier to share and remember.

  • Place the landing page on an iPad at your welcome center for a touchscreen sign-up experience.

  • Experiment with card layouts and images — visual pages perform better than text-only lists.
