When someone texts in a keyword to be joined to a group within your TIC account, you have the option of three reply types.  This reply goes out immediately after the text in the keyword to thank them and get additional information if desired.

There are three types of reply types that you can choose from:  Simple, Basic, and Extended.  Each one gathers information from the person and the amount gathered depends on the one selected.

Simple gathers just their mobile phone number and does not send a link to ask for additional information with the initial response text message.  Basic sends the inital response text along with a digital connection card link that asks for their First Name, Last Name, Email, and auto populates the Mobile Number.  Extended does all that Basic does but just adds asking for their mailing address.

To access these reply types, you must turn on and set up a keyword within your group. When selecting them you will be prompted with a pop up screen asking if you want to use the recommended template that TIC provides.  If you choose not to start with the template, just make sure you use the code listed below within your message to get the unique digital connection card link to be sent.  For example {BASIC_DCC} is the code for the English version of the Basic connection card.

In an existing group you can access these to edit by clicking on your group and then clicking on the tiny pen in the upper right corner.

From there it will take you to a new page that will allow you to make changes to your group description, keyword, keyword automated reply type, keyword automated reply message, and custom comment field.

Click on the box that says Automated Reply Type in grey.  It will then show you the three types. Click on which type you desire to select.

A pop up will appear after you've selected a type asking if you want the automated reply message to be our default template message. You can edit the default message as needed.

You can edit the reply message, but do not remove, edit or delete what is in the { }. That is our system code to be able to send a unique code for each person record. You also have the option to use the Spanish version of the card if you desire.
